Thomas F. Taylor Towers

At Thomas F. Taylor Towers, we believe that independent senior living should be vibrant, supportive, and full of possibilities. Our government-subsidized community is thoughtfully designed to offer older adults a safe, affordable place to live — while honoring their independence, individuality, and spirit.

Our mission is to provide more than just housing. We strive to create a true community where every resident feels valued, respected, and at home. Through inclusive programs that celebrate diverse cultures and interests, we foster a strong sense of belonging and encourage residents to have an active role in shaping their community.

Here at Taylor Towers, you'll find the perfect balance of independence, support, and connection — making it an ideal place for seniors who want to enjoy a fulfilling, secure, and enriching lifestyle.

  • We offer much more than just a place to live—we're a community that supports healthy, independent living. Our on-site clinic brings in a podiatrist, and chair massage services on a regular basis, so taking care of yourself is simple and convenient.

For residents who qualify, Meals on Wheels delivers right to your door, and food programs like Focus: HOPE and Government Commodities are also available for pick-up on-site. Need help navigating services or resources? Our Service Coordinators are here to assist with finding the right support to help you age in place comfortably.

Safety and peace of mind are a top priority. All building entry doors are secured, and common areas are monitored by recorded video surveillance. Plus, every apartment has emergency pull cords in the bedroom and bathroom, monitored 24/7 by Guardian Alarm.

Best of all, we’re located right next to Central City Park, perfect for a stroll or picnic, and just steps away from the seasonal Farmers Market—a great spot to grab fresh produce and connect with the local community.

  • Security Features: The facility is equipped with advanced security systems, including controlled access points, surveillance cameras, and emergency call systems in each apartment.

Emergency Response: In case of an emergency, residents can quickly reach staff or emergency services through easily accessible call buttons and alarm systems.

  • Thomas F. Taylor Towers is partially funded through government subsidies, which helps to keep living costs affordable for eligible seniors. Financial assistance is provided based on income, ensuring that residents can enjoy a high quality of life without undue financial strain.

  • How to Qualify for Residency

We’re proud to offer affordable housing through a HUD-subsidized program, and we welcome both income-eligible residents and those who prefer to rent at fair market rates.

To qualify for an apartment in our community, here’s what you need to know:

    Age Requirement:
You must be 62 years or older.
Applicants under 62 may still qualify if they have a mobility impairment. In this case, a doctor must complete our Verification of Disability form to determine eligibility.

    🚪 Handicap-Accessible Units:
We have a limited number of 9 handicap-accessible units in the building. Because of this, wait times for these units may be longer than for standard apartments.

    💰 Income Guidelines:
Income-eligible applicants may qualify for rental subsidy through HUD.
However, those who exceed the income limits may still rent at the full (fair market) rate if units are available.

    🌎 Citizenship Status:
To qualify for a subsidized apartment, you must be a U.S. citizen or an eligible immigrant.

    🔍 Screening Requirements:
All applicants must undergo a credit and criminal background check. Results must be deemed satisfactory to move forward in the process
